ARE YOU BEING LOVED THE WAY THAT YOU DESERVE TO BE? That can be such a difficult question to answer, after all, how do we know what we actually deserve when we've spent our whole life feeling judged and criticized by others? One thing is certain though— you deserve the kind of love that you give. The problem that so many run into is being in a relationship where they are the one that loves more and gives more, which tips the balance and gives the partner that loves less more control of the relationship by being able to withhold love and approval or even by punishing them when they don't get what they want. That's not love, that's emotional blackmail and can cause you to question whether you're deserving of love at all. When a person truly loves you, they won't use your love for them as leverage to try to control or manipulate you, they will want to give you the very best of themselves and their love because they know that you deserve no less than that. In fact, you'll know how much a person loves you by the courage they show in being vulnerable with you, by the way they look for the good in you and how much of themselves that they invest into the relationship and you. People have become so juvenile, so childish; they are losing all maturity. What opens inside you when you're willing to entertain the possibility that things maybe different than you thought they were is what I call the great internal space; a place where you come to know that you don't know. This is really the entry point into the end of suffering: when you become conscious of the fact that you really don't know. I mean that you don't really know anything - that you really don't understand the world, you don't really understand each other, and you ... really don't understand yourself. This is such an obvious thing when we really take a moment and look around.
