"According to EVERYONE yoga is mainstream.
But what does that mean? Better Beach booty? Ice bath etiquette?
I don’t mean to be facetious but as Instagram maxes out on handstand workshops
You’ve never been anything other than the real deal.
Before you started yoga or gave up on yoga,
you’ve always been the meaning of Yoga.
12 years ago I was at a crossroads;
12 years ago I was at a crossroads;
hoping my practice would save me from feelings of inadequacy
in my relationship and a health crisis.
As I wandered through the ruins of my life I was lucky to find
the wisdom teachings of Self Knowledge.
Called “Atma Vidya”, these teachings brought me
Called “Atma Vidya”, these teachings brought me
to the true understanding of what Yoga is.
Not a practice, not a system of enlightenment,
not even the union of mind, body and breath.
Yoga describes the meaning of the word “I”.
“I” is not an identifier it is the one in whom all identifications take place.
“I” is not an identifier it is the one in whom all identifications take place.
“I” is the name for all of creation.
Both what we can see and objectify and what we can’t see or name.
Call it YOGA, call it “I” call it AHAM or OM.
All roads lead to the self-same place.
YOU!
You are the yoga itself.
The only thing stopping us from knowing this is that no one has
The only thing stopping us from knowing this is that no one has
ever pointed out who we are or shown us how to get there.
For instance: to reach a destination,
For instance: to reach a destination,
if you don’t know where you are or what direction to go in will you get there?
NEVER.
You need a guide or at the very least be given a map of where to go.
Once you know where you are on the map and shown the way.
You reach the destination.
EASY STUFF
For everything in our lives, we use guides in various forms.
For everything in our lives, we use guides in various forms.
If we use guides for everything in life why wouldn’t we use a guide
to understand the biggest mystery in the universe?
Our selves?
Society can’t teach us who is SEEING creation.
Society can’t teach us who is SEEING creation.
Society can only tell us the names for what we are seeing.
But even those names are just naming the nameless.
Who is seeing this nameless formless creation?
